1. What day is my trash/recycling collected?

Single-Stream Recycling is picked up Thursday for residents who live North of 4th Avenue.
Single Stream Recycling is picked up on Friday for residents on 4th Avenue and South to Chestnut Hill Dr.
South Side Trash is picked up on Tuesday
North Side, E. 1st Avenue, E. 2nd Avenue and Maple St. trash will be picked up on Wednesday

2. Why can't I use trash cans larger than 36 gallons?

The public works men cannot lift the larger cans. If you wish to continue to store your trash in the large cans, just place the bags out for collection.
